Dad's Box

This was made from walnut, ebony and spalted pecan. The finger joints in the spalted pecan were a pain, as it has a tendency to crumble when it's as figured as I like. The carcase is also joined with finger joints. Finish is 50/50 BLO/Turp rubbed out with micromesh all the way to 12,000 grit. I used some more of this spalted board in my Mom's spice box.
